Importance of Diet With Nasal Polyps
I understand the importance of diet with nasal polyps and sinus infections more than ever after the last few weeks. Let me explain.
Hi everyone, I hope you had a wonderful Easter and got to relax a bit. I have to say that I have noticed something really strange in the last couple of days.
After feeling fit and healthy, pain free and uncongested for over 15 months, I started to notice a couple of changes. Some of the old inflammation pains in the elbows, knees and some other joints started to flare up slightly.
I also noticed that my nose was a bit stuffy and it hadn’t been like that for a very long time. Then I had started to think back as to “Why”. After thinking long a hard about what was going on I’m sure that a bit of a change in my diet was the culprit.

So, What Changed?
A few things did. In summary these included:
- Increased Sugar
- Not enough water each day
- A couple of beers at night (4-5 nights a week)
- And probably not eating enough fresh fruit and veges
As Easter was approaching, my wife who works from home likes to offer her clients a bit of an Easter treat with some chocolate eggs.
So Much For Discipline
I haven’t had much in the way of chocolate for a very long so like a sneaky little bugger that I am, would sneak an egg or two on my way past the sideboard. Over a couple of weeks those sweet little chocky treats added quite a bit to my sugar intake that wasn’t there for over 12 months.
Oh and we also bought each other a couple of Easter Eggs too. Needless to say, I’m glad they are all gone and life can get back to normal. As far as water goes I have been drinking between 2-3 litres a day and do try to include the juice of half a lemon in a glass most days, (Far out I have been so slack).
Well for some reason or another I guess life / work got in the way and I hadn’t been drinking as much as I usually do.
Afternoon Beers On The Back Deck
Also, Autumn has been absolutely stunning and probably a bit warmer than normal so the summer feeling is still alive which makes for the perfect environment to enjoy a beer or two at the end of the day.
I have also been really slack with my squeeze of lemon for a couple of weeks too so I’m guessing these things have been adding up to change what’s been going on inside my body. I guess we are all human inside and no, we are not perfect, it’s a fact of life.
I think what I’m getting at is that until you notice these things, you don’t realise just how important diet is and the ramifications it has on your health and well-being.
So I have changed my ways back to how things were a few weeks back and will update you in a week or so, until then I will be drinking plenty of water, cut out the sugar and back off the beer.
In the meantime, I have a little gift for you.

This is part of something I’m working on that will hopefully shed some light on the relationship between sinus infections, nasal polyps and diet. If you haven’t subscribed to my list just fill out your details below so i can send this to you immediately for nothing.
Yep you will get this for zilch, so go ahead and grab your’s now.
