How To Use Sinus Rinse Bottle – Step By Step

Do you want to know how to use sinus rinse bottle, follow this step by step to help keep your sinuses healthy, clean and moisturized? I use the NeilMed Sinus Rinse Kit. It’s easy and only takes a couple of minutes.

There are other different containers around including a Neti-Potti, but I have found the Neilmed sinus rinse bottle works well for me to flush out my nose and sinus passages.

The reason it works well is that you are gently forcing the saline solution through your nasal cavities which helps to flush out any bacteria and impurities keeping your sinuses healthy.

So How Do You Flush Your Sinuses

First you will mix the saline solution with 8oz (240ml) of luke-warm distilled or previously boiled water. (Use only luke warm water, if using boiled water be sure to let it cool down first).

You lean over the vanity basin with your head forward and placing the nozzle into 1 side of your nose, gently squeeze the bottle to force half of the solution through your sinuses.

You will notice that as quickly as it is squeezed into one nostril, it comes straight out the other one just as fast. This feels a bit weird at first but after you stop laughing and being repulsed by the stuff that comes out, just repeat the procedure for the other nostril.

Once you have flushed your sinuses, gently blow your nose to remove any remaining mucus and muck from your nose. Don’t blow too hard as you can put too much pressure on your eardrums.

The saline solution provided is both soothing and moisturizing, helping to keep your nasal passages and sinuses clear and healthy. I do this twice a day, first thing in the morning and either in the shower at night or right before going to bed.
